2008 At the
Family Self Catering Holiday Cottage/Gite
We have had a wonderful holiday here at 'Les Blancs'. The
gite is perfect, plenty of room and very well equipped.
Thank you Robert & Veronica for making us welcome and for
providing such a lovely home to stay in. The swimming pool
has been lovely and warm and used several times. The
weather has been fantastic - warm & sunny nearly all the time.
We loved the animals, especially the baby chicks and feeding the
pigs & sheep with fallen apples. We all played lots of
table-tennis. There's lots of things to do at the farm,
bike rides with nothing on the roads, swimming, trampoline -
what more could you want.
Reguiny supermarket well stocked and open Sunday am. We
found it a bit frustrating that most cafes/restaurants close at
2pm and don't open again until 7pm. We always got
somewhere just as it was stopping serving food. Mondays -
all the restaurants are closed. Can highly recommend
Campanella Pizzaria in Reguiny - very good pizzas. We
liked Pontivy and the Lac de Guerledan - lots of places to stop
and walk, the whole area is beautiful. The go-karting at
Auray is excellent, great fun!
All in all sad to be going home, but we hope to come again - it
has been so restful. The night skies on a clear night are
amazing - you can see the Milky Way for miles - isn't God
awesome, His creation is fantastic. Many thanks Robert &
Veronica for all your kindness, and helpfulness. A bientot,
see you soon - John, Lesley, Vicki and Andrew. September
2008.

Robert & Veronica - Thanks for a lovely holiday in your gite -
we've had a lovely time (Jas loved the chicken feeding, pig
feeding, duck feeding, Josh loved the chickens in general!)
You get to keep the picture of the gite (lucky you) cos we
couldn't get it home without it falling apart. Thanks
again, lots of love - Mike, Ruth, Jas, Josh xx September
2008.

Farmhouse is very comfortable and well equipped. The bikes
and swimming pool were great, we made good use of them. We
would not recommend cycling out at night without lights - it is
very dark!
Camors tree adventure place was very good but leaves you aching
afterwards. There is a distinct lack of nightlife, we
found a bar open in Josselin until 10.00pm, see if you can find
one later, it is not easy. The beach between La Trinite
sur mer and Carnac was good & very popular with the British with
easy parking. The house is very suitable for babies -

Enjoyed our stay
in this house. Weather was OK, last day was lovely!
Would recommend a trip to Auray and have a meal near the old
harbour, lovely spot. We visited Brest to look around the
much talked about aquarium 'Oceanoplis' but was disappointed
(overpriced, overcrowded and understocked). For a quick
meal the local pizza restaurant at Reguiny does take away made
to order pizzas, which are good.
Our twin boys
loved the pool and trampoline. Enjoyed the use of the BBQ
even on the colder days. Thanks - Matthew & Susan, Ian
& Lucy, Daniel & Hannah, Thomas, William, Georgina - August 2008.

Had a great week,
weather has been mixed, would recommend a visit to Lac au Duc,
where there's a lake with a beach (Loads to do). Robert
and Veronica were great hosts. Enjoyed stopping in this
nice house. 'Good health' from all of us. Neal &

Dear Robert and
Veronica, I had a lovely time in France. You made me much
happier now I've come to France. It has been a great
pleasure to meet you and get on with you. Love from
Tilly.
Brilliant week,
love the animals, love the gite, love the company, love the
food, love the area, love France. Lynn & Ray xx
Our return!
Just a week this time .... and not long enough!! Great
week and thanks to Bob & Veronica for making it so special,
fantastic house with excellent facilities. Recommend Auray
as an early evening visit - head for Le Port, gorgeous wee
harbour with plenty of sea front restaurants. Enjoyed our
daily dose of eggs from the hens - they taste delicious.
Robert's salad veg is to die for and Tilly enjoyed feeding the
animals. Made full use of garden activities ... going home
for a rest now!! Thanks again Bob & Veronica and may we
return, again, next year!! Love Manda & Alex - August
2008.

A well furnished
farmhouse with great facilities for all the teenagers.
Highly recommend a trip to Josselin, if you want a meal please
try the Cafe de France. They were very welcoming.
Many thanks, so so peaceful. Chris.
Excellent
facilities, children amused all day. Bikes used.
Boules played (& lost). Ian
Supermarket at
Reguiny open Sunday am, which is very useful. Most
restaurants are shut on a Monday. Boules on Sunday
afternoon in the barn is a must for all adults. Barely
seen the kids all week, they have loved every minute.
Gabbie xx - July/August 2008.

We had such a
lovely holiday, there is such a peaceful feeling about your
place, it was amazing to walk out the door into
such an incredible landscape. I also really enjoyed eating
all your home-grown food, it gave me a sense of connection that
is not common in a holiday home!
My favourite day
trip was walking along the Nantes-Brest canal from Pontivy going
North. It was so shady from the trees, and the canal was
so beautiful, I'll never forget it. The kids had a
fabulous time too, particularly Maisie, who was more active than
we have ever known her to be!!!
Thanks again for
making us so welcome, we really enjoyed your company, and will
return one day!
All the best,
Caroline and Dan, Finn, Tess
& Jane - July 2008.

Have had a great
2 week holiday here with part of our family - 3 generations of
us plus Czechoslovak au pair. Ideal for the little ones -
they loved the pool & the trampoline. The rest of us were
becoming quite proficient at table tennis. Robert &
Veronica have been excellent hosts & think of everything.
The bikes were well used & the 2 year old loved going with her
dad on the 'seat'.
Josselin medieval
day was excellent. The locals were so obviously enjoying
themselves & their costumes were super. Vannes, Lizio &
the war museum at Malestroit are worth a visit. We are all
going to miss the quiet roads & peaceful outdoor dinners.
Andy, Janette, Maisie, -
July 2008.
Lovely 2 weeks.
Thank you very much, even though my phone went in the pool.
Trampoline, swimming pool, table tennis, bikes - what more could
you wish for? The weather has been absolutely beautiful so
we have made the most of it with dinner outside every night!
Seeing as we had 8 of us there was plenty of space and things to
do! Thanks for a wonderful 2 weeks you even got me a week
off school. Maisie xx
****************
Had an excellent
week. Definitely not long enough though! We were so
lucky with the weather. Couldn't fault the facilities nor
Robert and Veronica who were excellent hosts.
The pool at
Reguiny is good for kids. The stones at Carnac are
recommended. Thank you to Robert and Veronica for the
eggs, advice, cucumbers and film - who could ask for anything
more (well maybe a tree house next time!?) Thanks -
Helen, Andy, Jane, Oto, Roony, Ed, Dawn, Mark, Emma and Isobel.

Had a great two
weeks here at Les Blancs.
Many thanks to Robert for his kind help, finding places via
the internet and for the weather forecasts. Couldn't have
asked for better weather!!
Were
disappointed with Pont Scorff Zoo. It is very hilly and at
times difficult to walk around. Food there was very
expensive. Some of the enclosures are small & cramped and
quite smelly. Pontivy market is worth a visit, but look
out for the man with the sausages. You will not get past
without spending 15 euros! Carnac beach is lovely and the
drive to Quiberon is worth doing - ask Robert!
We would recommend Les Blancs
to anyone!, and will. Alan & Ann, Robert & Sarah,
Grace, James, Sarah & John, Lillian & Samuel - June 2008.

We've had a very
relaxing week in Brittany and are sad to be returning to the
hurly burly of life in London! The gite is so peaceful &
v. well equipped. The children loved splashing about in
the warm pool and the trampoline has been a big hit too.
William has particularly enjoyed having so much space to kick a
ball about.
We've had lovely
days out in Josselin (pretty town - we recommend the doll
museum), Vannes (aquarium and butterfly garden worth a visit)
and Carnac (great beaches & good picnic area nr. the standing
stones). We highly recommend a meal at Chez Bido -
delicious food & v. friendly!
Thank you Robert,
for making us feel so welcome & for the loan of the DVD's.
We were sorry to have missed Veronica but hope to meet her on a
future visit! Here's to a busy, successful summer!
Maddy, Gareth, William & Freya - May 2008

What a wonderful
place! Thank you for your hospitality, you've thought of
everything needed. Even though the weather could've been a
bit kinder & our stay longer we've enjoyed every minute.
Having to rush
for the ferry now but will write a larger comment on website
when we get home as we have nothing but praise for Les Blancs!
Thanks again. Amanda & Billy, Carol & Eric - April/May

2007 At the
Family Self Catering Holiday Cottage/Gite
Fantastic two weeks – perfect weather! Thanks to
Farmer Bob and Farmer Veronica for making us feel so welcome
here. House and facilities fantastic – swimming pool and
trampoline used everyday and bikes were great to have.
Enjoyed days out at Carnac beach, Josselin and
Vannes (great on market day). Bike rides along the canal and
lunch at Les Forges were great days out. But plenty of relaxing
days around Les Blancs too!
Ella will particularly miss the chickens and
Harry & good luck with the duck-chicks! Thanks again, hope to
come back again sometime.

Excellent week, lovely weather and great
facilities here at Les Blancs. Children loved the trampoline
and swimming in the pool. Also played tennis and crazy golf at
Reguiny (thanks Robert & Veronica for the loan of the tennis
rackets & balls) Cycling was ideal, as there is very little
traffic and far fewer banks and hills than at home!
Great meals enjoyed at Josselin (cards on side of
fridge). Most of us ate escargot for the first (& probably the
last!) time, including the children. Excellent beach at Carnac
and would recommend the ‘Resistance Museum’ together with its
creperie.
Many thanks Robert & Veronica for an excellent
holiday, we really couldn’t fault it.

Recommend playing boules with the local French
here in the barn – great fun! (Sunday pm)
Josselin Clock Tower is free - 130 steps – fab
views. Great Pizzas in square – and very quiet at any time.
Check out the view on the other side of the river opposite the
Chateau. The Resistance Museum at Malestroit and
Half-Track ride is excellent, lots to see with great exhibits.
Lorient beach is not too far, free parking and accessible.
V.
clean too. Great building sand.
Suggest the table tennis in the barn - not easy
when the wind blows. Great place - loved the swimming pool
and feeding the chickens. The best gite we’ve found for
facilities and room. Thanks again.

I will miss my holiday here, it was very
enjoyable. Tilly aged 8 1/2. xx
Our French experience – Two weeks of fun, frolics & French cuisine! We have had a
fantastic time using the brilliant facilities supplied by Robert
and Veronica. We recommend locally Chez Bido the Creperie at
Radenac, lovely food and the authentic pizzas at La Campanella,
Reguiny. The Monday market at Auray was huge & busy. Carnac
beach clean & great for kids. Cycled a lot locally on safe
roads.
Thanks to Robert & Veronica for a super house,
you have made our holiday so special & have made us feel so
welcome. Tilly has especially loved the animals! Good luck
with your adventure.

We have all enjoyed a very
restful week in this lovely cottage. The children -
judging by their loud appreciation - have loved the pool and the
various games available to them. We really liked our visit
to Josselin which is a very pretty, ancient town with lovely
flowers.
Our thanks to Veronica &
Robert for everything. Emma & Paul, Sam, Harry, Joe,
Ben & Katie. + Granny & Grandad - Pat and Dudley. July/August

Thank you so much for sharing
your beautiful French home with us for the past 2 weeks.
The accommodation, facilities and your hospitality have been
superb!
The children have enjoyed the
pool, extensive grounds, all the animals and your newly acquired
trampoline (and boules of course). Can recommend the
nearby creperie at Les Forges (had 2 lovely meals there),
la Ferme de la Monde, Carnac (great beach) and cycling to
the local lake at Reguiny.
In all, an excellent and
totally relaxing time, thanks again and good luck for the
future! Darren, Jayne, Alice, Matthew and Adam.

Dear Veronica and Robert, Thank you for lovely
and relaxing days in your beautiful house. The swimming pool
was extremely popular with the children. We have also enjoyed
the large garden with lots of space for playing. Several
afternoons we all had a great time playing ‘boules’ in the barn.
We have explored the surroundings, and will
recommend Auray, Vannes, Josselin, Quiberon, Ile de Berder
(please note the tide schedule) and afternoon trips on the bikes
in the local area. For food, we highly recommend the local
creperie Chez Bido in Radenac – but the best dinners were served
in the spacious kitchen of Les Blancs. We appreciated the good
facilities of the house and specially the four showers! The
tomatoes and cucumbers from the Potter family were a breakfast
hit for everybody.
TUSEN TAKK FOR OSS! Greetings from your first
Norwegian guests,
Erik, Agnethe, Ada and Helga, Christophe, Margit Irene, Aurelia
and Philip. July 2007

29th June 2007.
Today is our last full day at Les Blancs, tomorrow we have to
leave this idyllic place. Although the weather has not
been too kind to us and have not been able to make full use of
the pool, we have enjoyed ourselves in our comfortable
surroundings and have visited all the local areas and some of
the further afield towns of Vannes and Lorient. For the
best creperie in Brittany visit Chez Bido in Radenac.
Thank you Robert and Veronica for making us so welcome.
Myra, David, Martin, Diane, Luke and Dylan. June 2007.

Thank you for a
lovely relaxing holiday. We loved the house and were
grateful for a superbly equipped kitchen! William
especially enjoyed the pool - so warm - and the swings. We
visited lots of pretty towns in the area and recommend Auray
with its beautiful port and restaurants. The trip to
Quiberon was well worth it, with a big sandy beach and lots of
good boutiques. Carnac Plage is good for rock pools and
collecting shells. Alison, Dan, William & Evie.
May/June 2007
Thank you for
your hospitality - we had a great time exploring the area.
We particularly liked Auray and Vannes (this market is worth a
visit on Wednesdays). Had some great food at 'Tranquility'
in Pontivy - English speaking, & very obliging with children.
Tom, Sue and Helen May/June 2007.
****************
Thank you for a
great holiday, an excellent gite, pretty countryside - and even
for your help with recording a TV programme on DVD. We
recommend the Lunch Cruise on Vedettes de l'Odet shipping
company from Benodet (near Quimper) up the Odet river. It
isn't cheap but well worth it! John and Maurice - May
2007.
